Winifred-Roy Captures Montana 6-Man Championship

Winifred-Roy is Montana's 2009 Class C 6-Man champ after an impressive post-season that saw the Outlaws take-down three straight undefeated teams in the playoffs. The Billings Gazette reports that Winifred-Roy beat Denton 53-20 behind a balanced offensive attack...223 yards rushing and 219 yards passing.

Huntley Project Wins Back-to-Back Class B Titles

Huntley Project's win streak hit 24-straight Saturday with the Red Devils 31-0 shutout win over Fairfield for the team's second straight Class B state championship. The Billings Gazette reports that the Red Devils flexed their muscles from the opening drive of the game.

Drummond Wins Another Montana High School Football Championship

Drummond beat Wibaux County 32-24 on Saturday to win Montana's Class C 8-Man championship. It was the Trojans fifth state championship in the last seven years. The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports that Drummond won it with a defense that forced five turnovers.

Great Falls Russell Snaps Helena Capital's Win Streak & Wins Montana AA Football Title

Thirteen was a lucky number for Great Falls Russell Friday night as the Rustlers beat three-time defending AA state champ Helena Capital 28-14 for the school's 13th state football championship. The Missoullan reports that Helena Capital three-year run at the top of AA and 33-game win streak thanks to a Gavin Hagfors two short TD runs.

Frenchtown Claims Montana Class A Football Title

Frenchtown won its first Montana Class A football title Friday beating Billings Central 28-6. The Billings Gazette reports that the Broncs put this one away with three scores in the final quarter.

Billings Senior upset Missoula Big Sky 32-30 by scoring all of its points in the second half to overcome a 10-0 halftime deficit.

Montana Class AA Champ Helena Capital Goes for Four-Peat

With the regular season set to open August 28th for Class AA, A and C teams and September 3 for Class B and C-Six Player teams, the previews are starting to come-in. Today, the Billings Gazette looks at the Class AA teams, including three-time defending champ Helena Capital.

Meanwhile, KPAX-TV out of Missoula will once again offer a tape-delay schedule of games this year.
